Poultry production is a key pillar of animal production in Arab countries and plays an essential role in their national food safety. From Jordan to Sudan there exist many large to medium scale poultry integrators which face similar challenges such as scarceness of raw materials, availability of feed, high production costs or price deterioration by Brazilian poultry products. Not with standing federally funded programs, local poultry producers share a lack of strength to overcome these impediments.

The foundation of the Union of Arab Poultry Producers (UAPP) is a formation of several national poultry associations who are going to unite to building up synergies, transferring knowledge and obtaining a more powerful market position in the Arab countries.

DLG as the organizer of EuroTier Middle East along with its partners is pleased to announce the foundation of the Union of Arab Poultry Producers which will be officially launched at the second edition of EuroTier Middle East in March 2022 in Abu Dhabi U.A.E.

On June 24, 2021, the heads of the founding Arab poultry associations will inform on DLG connect about the background of the foundation of the UAPP and its purpose.
