Saudi Arabia and China Sign Two Protocols for Exporting Saudi Dairy Products and Aquaculture to Chinese Markets
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the People's Republic of China have signed two protocols for the export of Saudi products to Chinese markets. The first protocol covers the export of dairy products, while the second pertains to the export of aquaculture products. This took place during the official visit of H.E. Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli, Saudi Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, to Beijing from May 12 to 14.
The protocols were signed by H.E. the Minister of Environment on behalf of the Kingdom, and by H.E. Sun Yijun, Commissioner of the General Administration of Customs of China, on behalf of the Chinese government. The meeting included discussions on enhancing trade exchange in aquaculture and dairy derivatives, developing customs cooperation between the two countries, encouraging Saudi companies to enter the Chinese market, and facilitating export procedures. These efforts reflect the Kingdom’s direction toward growing its national exports and achieving the goals of Vision 2030.
Engineer Al-Fadhli praised the fruitful and constructive cooperation between the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture and the General Administration of Customs in China, which has played an active role in strengthening trade exchange, particularly in high-quality products. He emphasized that the signing of the two protocols enhances the Kingdom’s outstanding experience with Chinese customs, which began seven years ago, and will support the entry of major Saudi companies into Chinese markets and broaden trade horizons. He reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to developing supportive regulations and legislation, empowering the private sector through the implementation of best practices and the highest international standards.
He also confirmed the continued coordination and cooperation between the Ministry of Environment and the Chinese Customs Authority to include new Saudi products, contributing to deepening the economic and food partnership. He expressed anticipation for the signing of new agreements that will open broader avenues for cooperation, increase engagement, and improve the quality of business between the two countries.
