0The Second Petra Livestock Exhibition 2024 concluded on the evening of Saturday, September 7, in Amman, amidst broad participation from both local and international attendees.

Over the course of its three-day run, the Petra Livestock Exhibition witnessed extensive interaction between participants and visitors, with the number of attendees reaching at least 8,000. In a statement, Engineer Ali Abu Nuqta, Chairman of the Preparatory Committee and head of the Jordanian Engineers Association, noted, “The significance and success of the exhibition serve as an impetus for building further partnerships and collaborations in the future.” He also highlighted that the exhibition, which was inaugurated under the patronage of the Prime Minister, attracted over 250 brands and companies specialized in the livestock sector, with participation from 35 countries around the world.

Abu Nuqta added that the Petra Livestock Exhibition 2024 aimed to advance production technology in the livestock sector by providing a platform for showcasing the latest technological tools and equipment from global companies, as well as presenting outstanding experiences in this field. The exhibition was accompanied by a scientific program that included more than 20 interactive scientific lectures and training sessions in collaboration with international universities and research centers.

He further mentioned that the exhibition, held every two years, serves as a meeting point for professionals in the livestock sector and aims to build a promising future for Jordan as a global investment destination in livestock, considering it one of the pillars of modern food security that concerns the entire world today.

On another note, Engineer Mohamed Sawalmeh, President of the Arab Association for Animal Science, stated that the second edition of the Petra Livestock Exhibition saw a 30% increase in the number of participating global and regional companies compared to the first edition, reflecting the success, excellence, and growing confidence in the future of the exhibition.

Sawalmeh also noted that the second edition of the exhibition featured the signing of several cooperation agreements, partnership contracts, and commercial deals among participating brands. Additionally, the first Jordanian Beekeeping Forum was held in collaboration with the Jordanian Beekeepers Syndicate, featuring a specialized scientific program with participation from scientists, experts, and researchers from various countries.

Participants praised the organization of the Petra Livestock Exhibition 2024, organized by the Jordanian Engineers Association in collaboration with the Arab Association for Animal Science, for showcasing the promising potential of investments in the livestock sector. Attendees also acknowledged the success of this edition of the exhibition due to the significant turnout of visitors, manufacturers, and brands from Jordan, the Arab world, and internationally, eager to explore the services and products offered by participating companies.

Both participants and visitors expressed their enthusiasm and anticipation for the third edition of the exhibition and emphasized the importance of continuing its organization due to its prominent role in marketing products, providing investment opportunities in the livestock sector, establishing commercial relationships with Arab and international companies, and facilitating business meetings within and outside the exhibition, as well as connecting participants with specialized companies in the import and marketing of livestock products.

In a warm and appreciative atmosphere, the Jordanian Engineers Association Chairman, members of the council, and the President of the Arab Association for Animal Science concluded the exhibition by presenting commemorative gifts to the participants who contributed to the success of the second edition of the Petra Livestock Exhibition, with hopes for this important economic event to continue in Jordan year after year.
