At the Global Forum in Russia, the Kingdom showcased aquaculture opportunities during the event held in the Russian Federation from September 17 to 19, with the attendance of several government entities and private sector representatives. The Deputy Assistant for Livestock and Fisheries Resources at the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al-Shaikhi, explained that the Kingdom's participation included the National Program for the Development of Livestock and Fisheries, the Saudi Export Development Authority, the Agricultural Development Fund, and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology.
Supporting Private Sector Companies Al-Shaikhi noted that the Kingdom's participation aims to support private sector companies in marketing fish products in priority global markets and opening new markets, such as the Russian market, which offers an opportunity to deliver farmed fish products from the Kingdom to more than five countries within the Russian Federation. He further explained that the National Program for the Development of Livestock and Fisheries focused on promoting investment opportunities and highlighting the Kingdom's efforts in supporting and developing the aquaculture industry and seafood products. The program also facilitated meetings with key investors and relevant government entities from the Russian side to enhance investment cooperation and trade exchange between the two countries.
