His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, took part in a field activity as part of the Coral Reef Survey Project. The trip aims to monitor efforts to protect and develop the marine environment and reaffirm the country's commitment to safeguarding its natural resources.
The trip included a series of field activities designed to assess the condition of coral reefs and develop appropriate plans for their preservation. This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change to promote environmental sustainability and protect biodiversity in Qatari waters.
His Excellency emphasized the importance of such initiatives in preserving Qatar’s marine habitats and raising awareness about the need to protect the marine environment to ensure its sustainability for future generations.
The trip was attended by His Excellency Major General Jassim bin Ali Mohammed Al-Attiyah, Commander of the Joint Special Forces, Brigadier General (Air Technical) Mohammed Youssef Al-Jaida from the Ministry of Defense's Environmental Directorate, along with several senior officials from the Ministry of Environment and a group of marine researchers and environmental activists.
