A new poultry complexes project has been inaugurated in Al-Qunfudhah Governorate, implemented by a national company, with the attendance of Governor Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Qubbaa, Eng. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Kulaif, Director General of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the Makkah Region, along with several municipal heads and officials from both the public and private sectors.
The project aims to strengthen food security and support the local economy, with a production capacity of more than 51 million birds annually, alongside a state-of-the-art slaughterhouse with a capacity of up to 70 million birds per year. The project is also expected to create around 500 job opportunities, contributing to the empowerment of national talent and promoting sustainable development within the governorate.
Eng. Hassan bin Ibrahim Al-Muaidi, Director of the Ministry’s office in Al-Qunfudhah, stated that the project reflects the ministry’s commitment to supporting agricultural investments and providing an attractive environment for investors.
For his part, Eng. Majid Al-Kulaif praised the efforts made to launch this promising initiative, affirming that such projects strengthen the agricultural sector’s role as a key pillar in achieving comprehensive development. He added that this project is part of a series of initiatives led by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture to develop the agricultural sector and enhance public-private partnerships, thereby contributing to self-sufficiency and supporting the national economy.
