Mansour bin Hilal Al-Mashiti confirmed the stability of supply chains in the poultry sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, noting the abundance of products in local markets and the sector’s ability to meet growing demand, especially during seasons that witness higher consumption rates.
He explained that poultry production has achieved significant qualitative leaps, with expectations that it will exceed 1.5 million tons annually, and with a self-sufficiency rate surpassing 76%, thereby strengthening food security and supporting the national economy in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
This came during his chairing of a joint meeting at the ministry headquarters, with participation from the General Food Security Authority and relevant national committees of poultry producers and feed manufacturers, to discuss production conditions and stock levels and to prepare for meeting demand during the Hajj season.
He pointed out that the meeting’s outcomes confirmed the availability of poultry meat and its products, as well as the stability of their prices and quality, despite rising consumption during the Hajj season. He also noted that the ministry is working in cooperation with relevant entities to enhance production and ensure continuity of supply.
He added that model poultry projects launched by the ministry in several regions have contributed to increasing production and ensuring the availability of fresh meat and table eggs, in addition to supporting investment in the feed sector, which has positively impacted market stability.
He revealed that broiler chicken production during March 2026 reached more than 125,000 tons, with stocks exceeding 16,000 tons, while production of large-sized chicken reached around 77,000 tons, with new companies entering the market to enhance product availability in local markets.
