Almarai Company reported strong financial growth in the second quarter of 2026. The Saudi food and beverage group recorded revenue of SAR5.87 billion. This represented an 11% year-on-year increase during the quarter. Net profit remained stable at approximately SAR636 million.
The company attributed the growth to strong perfo
rmance across its businesses. Its poultry meat division was among the key contributors to the improved results. Growth in poultry was driven by an expanding customer base across different markets. The company also continued investing in production capacity and operational efficiency. These investments helped support the expansion of its poultry business. Almarai said strong demand for poultry and dairy products supported overall performance.
A resilient supply chain also contributed to maintaining the company’s growth. Careful cost management helped offset rising costs and logistical pressures. The company also benefited from favorable changes in its sales mix.
During the first half of 2026, Almarai’s revenue exceeded SAR12 billion. This represented a 9% increase compared with the same period in 2025.
CEO Fawaz Al Jasser highlighted the importance of disciplined cost management. He said the company remains confident in its strategy and commitment to food security. Almarai also aims to strengthen its leadership in its target markets.
The company plans to continue innovating and responding to changing consumer expectations. Its Dairy & Juice and Bakery divisions also recorded positive performance during the quarter.
At the end of July, Almarai signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Regional Voluntary Carbon Market Company. The agreement allows Almarai to explore participation in Saudi Arabia’s emerging voluntary carbon market. It could also enable the company to access VCM’s carbon credit trading platform.
The platform facilitates the sourcing, purchasing, selling and trading of voluntary carbon credits. These credits are issued by accredited certification agencies. The initiative supports Saudi Arabia’s climate finance and emissions-reduction objectives.
Almarai produces around 263 million poultry birds annually.
According to WATT Poultry Top Poultry Companies, it is the Middle East’s third-largest poultry producer. Its poultry products are marketed under the Al-Youm brand and include whole birds, portions and value-added products.
In 2025, Almarai reported annual revenue of SAR22.06 billion and operating profit of SAR3.06 billion.
