Kemin confirms that NutriCABTM - its coated calcium chloride product - is not affected by the recent Rapid Alert launched following a notification from the Netherlands.
The notification indicates that the maximum permissible level of dioxin in coated calcium chloride has been significantly exceeded for a product of Belgian origin.
The Institute for Feed Education and Research (IFEEDER), in partnership with the Milling4Life (M4L) charity, has launched a fundraising drive in support of a scholarship that provides financial assistance to students pursuing careers in the food and feed manufacturing sectors. The charities announced today that they aim to raise $75,000 over the next few months, with the goal of offering the scholarship in perpetuity if sufficient funds are raised.

The 2018 Asian Pacific Aquaculture Convention (APA) took place in Taipei from 23th to 26th of April, and counted with over 1,500 registered participants this year. APA18 is organized by the World Aquaculture Society – Asian Pacific Chapter - and hosted by the National Taiwan Ocean University. The U.S. Grains Council (USGC) has added two new consultants in the Middle East and North Africa region this fall, increasing its presence in an area of the world with significant potential for future demand.
Shakeb Elahi joined the Council in September and will be working to expand the sales portfolio of U.S. exports to the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Pakistan. Elahi is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has published a new scientific opinion on the safety and efficacy of AVIMATRIX® (Novus International, Inc.) as a zootechnical feed additive. The authority has concluded that the inclusion of AVIMATRIX at 500 mg/kg complete feed has the potential to improve the performance of chickens for fattening, chickens reared for laying and minor avian species for fattening and to point of lay. It is considered to be tolerated by chickens for fattening and reared for laying up to the maximum recommended dose (1,000 mg/kg complete feed).
