As part of the government’s measures to protect the local product, support the national industry, and ensure the provision of job opportunities in important economic projects, the Council agreed to approve the recommendations of the meeting held on April 24, 2024, as follow:

3. Obliging producers to place the date of production and the product label on each egg, within a maximum period of 3 months from the date of issuance of this decision.

4. Preventing the transfer of table eggs that do not carry the visas mentioned in Paragraph 2 above between governorates.

5. Assigning the Ministries of Trade and Industry, the Competition and Antimonopoly Council, and the Iraqi Association for Poultry Producers to monitor the implementation of the decision on an ongoing basis, with monthly reports to be submitted to the Ministerial Council for Economy.

6. This decision will be implemented starting from May 2, 2024.
