Roxell launches energy-efficient Shen-Turbo 100 space heater

Compact and economical heating for pig and poultry houses

Maldegem – 18 February 2019 – Today, Roxell, the leading manufacturer of automatic feeding, drinking, nesting and heating systems, is launching the Shen-Turbo 100, a space heater that generates more heat with 80,000 BTU/h of propane than similarly sized heaters on the market. The compact Shen-Turbo 100 is a new addition to Roxell's range of convection heaters. Shen-Turbo provides a solution to a number of specific needs of pig and poultry farmers.

ARS Microscopy Research Helps Unravel the Workings of a Major Honey Bee Pest

Research by scientists at the Agricultural Research Service (ARS) and theUniversity of Maryland released today sheds new light -- and reverses decades of scientific dogma -- regarding a honey bee pest (Varroa destructor) that is considered the greatest single driver of the global honey bee colony losses. Managed honey bee colonies add at least $15 billion to the value of U.S. agriculture each year through increased yields and superior quality harvests.

The Nutriad´s aqua team participated in the XV edition of FENACAM, held in Natal (Brazil) during November 13-16^th, 2018. FENACAM brings together industry and academic leaders and has consolidated as the major aquaculture event in Brazil. Kemin confirms that NutriCAB^TM - its coated calcium chloride product - is not affected by the recent Rapid Alert launched following a notification from the Netherlands.

The notification indicates that the maximum permissible level of dioxin in coated calcium chloride has been significantly exceeded for a product of Belgian origin.

The Institute for Feed Education and Research (IFEEDER), in partnership with the Milling4Life (M4L) charity, has launched a fundraising drive in support of a scholarship that provides financial assistance to students pursuing careers in the food and feed manufacturing sectors. The charities announced today that they aim to raise $75,000 over the next few months, with the goal of offering the scholarship in perpetuity if sufficient funds are raised.

The conference will take place in the EuroTier exhibition on Wednesday the 14th, from 10:00 Am to 12:30 PM.
