Some advertisements for purebred Arabian chickens display hybrid birds, providing false details that are far removed from this ancient breed. In this research, we will discuss this purebred breed in detail and the characteristics that distinguish this beautiful bird.

The Breed
This breed first appeared in the wild in South Asia and the Andes Mountains. It spread widely in the Indian jungles and is still abundant and is not threatened with extinction. Humans began hunting these birds for food, and after many attempts, the first domestic breeding of this bird succeeded, from which the current domestic poultry descended.

Color
The color of the purebred Arabian rooster tends to be a single color. It is reddish-orange, with a glossy black covering the rest of the body and tail. The outer wing feathers are pale orange. The hen is brown with light golden feathers on the neck and a black tail. Both sexes have a red crest, black legs, and a black beak. In this breed, the colors may be lighter or slightly darker, but the color remains constant and unchanged.

Shape and Size
This chicken is very similar in appearance to the local chicken, but its most distinguishing feature is its color, as mentioned earlier. Its size is smaller than the local chicken and larger than the "Sprite" chicken. It is distinguished by its high, clear voice. This bird's crest appears normal and erect, with some fleshy protrusions in the form of thorns. The cheeks and ears are red or white, but rarely. The eye appears red or dark orange, and this bird's tail is almost at the level of the back and does not rise as high as the local rooster. The legs are very slender and clearly black. The nails and beak are slender and sharp, and black or dark gray.

Specifications
This bird is characterized by its distinctive, popular color, which has not changed for hundreds of years. It is characterized by rapid growth; At five months of age, it develops its full color and final shape. It is light in weight, runs fast, can fly better than other chicken species, and is distinguished by its clear, beautiful voice.

Defects
In the wild, this bird has not exhibited any defects over the years. However, when humans began breeding these birds, strange colors and many shapes appeared; some beautiful, while others were ugly.

Color
Some colors appeared, such as white, black, yellow, red, and also patterned colors; all of which are beautiful. However, they are considered a defect of hybridization, and these colors are never present in purebred Arabian birds.

Crest
The crest may be crown-shaped or square, like the crest of Pakistani chickens, or it may be very large and slanted, or it may have very small or very large pacifiers below the face. These are also not characteristic of our purebred bird.

Eyes and Ears
Yellow or white eyes, or blue ears are also some of the defects that mark a bird as a hybrid...

Appearance
If the bird appears very large, like a French chicken, or tall, like a Pakistani chicken, or if the legs appear yellow or white, or if the tail is shaped like a palm tree, or if the bird's voice is heavy, with a clear rattle, and not clear, all of this indicates clear hybridization and is not a characteristic of purebred Arabian chickens.
