The 2nd Dubai MEA Distributors Conference took place from 5 to 7 May 2015 at Le Meridien Hotel in Dubai. Nutriad animal production experts presented their latest findings and provided information on best practices and application of Nutriad products.
26 Representatives of MEA distributors attended,personally invited by Mr. Gilles De Feyter, Nutriad Sales Manager MEA. Mr. Erik Visser, CEO of the Nutriad group, welcomed all Distributors and thanked them for their continued and valued dedication by way of an individual award. Stated Erik Visser: “Nutriad appreciates the long standing relationships with its partners in MEA. Together with our partners we are confident to unlock the potential of this growing region.”
Nutriad hosted a program centered around its key product groups. Mycotoxin Management was covered by Mrs. Radka Borutova, Digestive Performance by Mr. Tim Goossens, Ruminant Portfolio by Mr. Jan Van Eys and Palatability by Mr. Simon Martyn.
All presentations focused on practical application, services and correct product positioning. All participants were actively involved in the conclusion and lively discussions while. The winners of the Nutri-Quiz were awarded a thrilling helicopter flight over Dubai.
The product training was appreciated by all participants and presented them with a clear insight into the real mycotoxin situation in different markets of Middle East and Africa. According to Radka Borutova, Business development manager Mycotoxins “MEA region is a very important one when we talk about the mycotoxin risk management. Especially this year with our knowledge on mycotoxin threats Europe and USA. MEA countries are still importing most of their raw feed ingredients and therefore exposing their poultry and ruminants to high mycotoxin risks in 2015”.
Stated Jan Van Eys, Business Development manager Ruminants: “Ruminant production – in the form of dairy cattle, camels sheep or goats – are a major component of livestock production in Middle East and Africa. The Nutriad portfolio addresses several key challenges producers face. “
The importance of ruminant feed palatability and the optimisation of feed intake of feeds including TMR’s was also on the agenda. Nutriad palatability solutions and concepts were presented to the Group, and Nutriad’s specialist product offering for cattle, sheep and goat diets introduced by Simon Martyn, Regional Director EMEA.
Tim Goossens, Business development manager Digestive Performance, elaborated on the intestinal function and gut health and explained on how Nutriad’s coated butyrate product, ADIMIX®Precision, can help improve animal performance, both in standard production conditions, as well as in more challenged situations. “The coating of ADIMIX®Precision is crucial to deliver butyrate throughout the entire intestinal tract”, Tim Goossens explained.
